What brings Katie Feldman to the the sleepy beach town of Southport, North Carolina? Widowed store owner Alex Wheatley is determined to find the answer.
In a sneak peek preview from the upcoming romance movie Safe Haven, Katie (Julianne Hough) and Alex (Josh Duhamel.) get to know each other while relaxing on the beach. “So why Southport?” Alex asks his new acquaintance.
“It looks like this,” Katie replies, smoothing the sand with her hand. “Such a clean, empty canvas.”
“You’re starting over?” asks Alex, who’s raising two young children on his own. “Sort of,” Katie says cryptically. “I was just looking for a change and I always wanted to live in a small town.”
