The Tiger Woods drama is over, at least as far as his marriage is concerned. According to TMZ, the headline-grabbing golfer’s divorce from Elin Nordegren was finalized today (Aug. 23) in a Florida court.

Following nine months of tabloid fodder and mistress after mistress, both Tiger and Elin arrived at Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Florida, ready to sign them papers and go through the motions. While specific terms of the divorce settlement are unknown, reports place Elin’s figures in the $100 million range. So maybe there’s some payoff from being a woman scorned?

What does Elin have to say about the ordeal? Here’s the statement from Elin’s lawyer on behalf of the ex-couple: “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future.”

The former Mr. and Mrs. Woods also addressed the most important factor here—the kids: “While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us. Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”

TMZ got a hold of the divorce documents, which reveal that an agreement was reached as early as July 3. And in case you’re curious, Elin isn’t pulling a Tameka Raymond. She wants to return to her maiden name: Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren.
