NBA fans can't believe how bad Warriors are without Steph Curry and suspended Draymond Green

The Golden State Warriors keep getting worse. A team that was supposed to compete for an NBA championship in 2023-24 fell below .500 on Friday after a 128-109 home defeat to the young Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Golden State Warriors keep getting worse.

A team that was supposed to compete for an NBA championship in 2023-24 fell below .500 on Friday after a 128-109 home defeat to the young Oklahoma City Thunder.

With Stephen Curry out with an injury and Draymond Green suspended for five games, NBA fans still expected the Warriors to be competitive with big names including Klay Thompson, Chris Paul and Andrew Wiggins.

That wasn't the case.

On a night when Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that Green deserved to be suspended and his headlock of Minnesota's Rudy Gobert was a 'terrible visual' for the NBA, the Warriors trailed 39-24 after the first quarter inside Chase Center and were never competitive.

"Dynasty over," an NBA fan tweeted.

"WARRIORS ARE DONE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO" a Nuggets fan posted.

"Rough watching Klay man he looks just about finished," another fan said.

"Draymond's partly to blame," a fan wrote.

"He [Green] took it too far," Kerr said. "Draymond was wrong. He knows that. It's a bad look, and the five games are deserved."

Kerr added: "Draymond has to find a way to not cross the line. I'm not talking about getting an ejection or a technical, I'm talking about a physical act of violence. That's inexcusable."

Also inexcusable was Thompson's stat line.

Once one of the best scorers in the NBA, the second Splash Brother shot just 1-of-10 from the field and 1-of-6 on 3-pointers in Curry's absence.

With Thompson only scoring five points the Warriors were humbled again against the Thunder.

"What's happened to them?" a fan asked.

TNT analyst Charles Barkley might have been ahead of the curve at the start of the season when he insisted that the Warriors are too old.

"Old people don't get better," Barkley said. "They just get older."
