In October, Azealia Banks and Russell Crowe made headlines after details of a hotel altercation surfaced online. The Harlem artist quickly filed a battery report after slamming the actor on social media for allegedly choking her, spitting on her and calling her a ni**er during the scuffle.

Now, according to TMZ, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office has decided not to charge Crowe for physically removing Banks from his hotel room, reportedly stating that Crowe’s use of force was “justified to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks” and the alleged spitting was “incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence.”

When news of the incident made its initial rounds in the media, several witnesses–including hip-hop veteran RZA–corroborated reports that Banks was dismissed after threatening to stab a guest with a glass. “Before the night is over Azealia is insulting half the room she becomes loud and obnoxious,” RZA recalled on Facebook. “There was nothing funny about her behavior.”
