Chris Leonard Obituary, Death – The unexpected passing of Christopher L. Leonard, age 51, from Wheelock, took place in Danville on January 13, 2011. The son of Reginald and Frances (Amadon) Leonard, he was born in St. Johnsbury on July 28, 1959. His mother’s maiden name was Amadon. He received his diploma from Lyndon Institute in the year 1977.
Chris wed Sheila, whose maiden name was Lefaivre. They had been partners continuously since the year 1981. He was a machine operator at Weidmann Industries in St. Johnsbury, where the company is located. He had been employed at the National Security Agency (NSA) in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in the roles of machine operator and truck driver for a number of years prior.
He was a V.A.S.T. member and snowmobiling was something he always looked forward to doing. Together with his father, he found enormous joy in activities such as hunting, fishing, fishing through ice, and fishing on Lake Ontario. During the growing season, you could find him at home tending to his over one hundred and fifty lovely lilac bushes that he had planted. Over the years, he prepared a great number of dinners for his family, as well as for his acquaintances.
Chris was also a big fan of sports. When he was a young man, he participated in sports while he was in school. Later in life, he watched and participated in the activities that his children participated in while they were in school. He felt a great deal of pride for all of the achievements attained by his children.
